I am writing this TripAdvisor review with an after-dinner rusty nail in hand, back in our tent at Moremi Crossing on Ntswi Island across the Boro River from Chief's Island, where there is no wifi, so I am not sure when I will actually get to upload it. We saw red lechwe, reedbuck, zebra, impala, crocodile, hyena, elephant, hippopotamus, warthog, vervet monkey, baboon, 2 leopards, giraffe and of course, plenty of birds. Soap powder is provided to wash your own "smalls".Īctivities, twice per day, are game boat rides, mokoro rides (canoes powered by poles) and nature walks. Washing is done for you (except underwear), and returned daily, at no additional cost. Later in the night, you can hear the lions calling, the baboons barking and the leopards coughing. Sometimes they shake the palm trees to get the palm nuts to fall, causing an awful racket. Note that the door to the toilet is only half a door and made of canvass, so you want to be comfortable with whom you are sharing the room.Īs I type, I can hear the elephant by our shower again. This place is awesome! It is a tented camp, complete with timber floors (but canvass walls and roof), electric lights, flushing toilets, ensuite hand basins and outside showers with loads of solar powered hot water (what we in Australia call "glamping", or "glamorous camping").
